Certification is the formal process by which a certifying body, such as the Motor Carrier Passenger Council of Canada (MCPCC), validates a Trainer’s knowledge, skills, and abilities in a defined role and area of practice, based on predetermined standards. Trainers achieve certification credentials through specialized education/learning, experience in a speciality area, and a qualifying examination.

Certification is a profession’s official recognition of achievement, expertise, and judgement. It is a mark of excellence that requires continued learning and skill development to maintain.
